Start with the settlement

The official description presents you as a leader of a frontier community. Town Hall, roads and homes are named building concepts. Use them to understand the game interface and settlement goal; this guide does not prescribe construction order or costs.

Read settler needs

Food, shelter, satisfaction and amenities are part of the official settlement description. When playing, compare what residents need with what the town provides. No numeric threshold or exact timing is verified here.

Recognize production

The store names food, building materials, tools and luxury goods as broad production categories. Identify which category an available building serves before treating a single chain as mandatory. Exact recipes and yields need current-build observation.

Follow the Journey

Journey quests, experience, building unlocks and specializations are named on Steam. The quest panel is a sensible place to see what the current version asks of you. This is an orientation cue, not a verified quest-by-quest route.

Look beyond one town

Official sources describe scouts, new locations and multiple settlements. Expansion becomes relevant as you learn the first settlement's needs, but the precise unlock or expedition prerequisite has not been verified.
